A superb experience with Giovanni! He picked us up at our hotel with a white Mercedes convertible and we knew we were about to experience something out of this world. And we weren’t wrong! The boat was brand new (called ilCanto!) and Giovanni helped us settle in! It was awesome to have the boat all to ourselves - and we lucked out - we had great weather to start this adventure! We rode to Capri, enjoyed Prosecco and a beautiful tray of fruit! We loved taking pictures at iconic locations and exploring the coasts of Capri, Positano and Sorrento. Giovanni thought of everything - we swam close to a private island and he gave us almond oil to try! We ate at a fancy restaurant called Il Contucchio right on the water of this small town on the coast. The chef was joyful! And, the food was excellent. Bundled up in blankets, we headed back to Sorrento! It started raining a bit but it stopped when we docked! We loved the experience and would highly recommend it. If possible, book a private tour to enjoy the experience at a different level!
We booked this boat experience through our hotel ‘Capo Santa Fortunata’. We were blown away by the whole day and it was our trips highlight! We have had other boat charters around Italy whilst travelling for the last month and this one beat them all. From the minute we were greeted, we were ushered on board Giovanni’s incredible, pristine boat and were in absolute comfort from the start. We were travelling with one infant and our two year old which can often be a challenge but this was absolutely not the case here as Giovanni helped with bedding arrangements below and even took out stroller for us whilst we browsed the shops around Capri. His local knowledge of the area, friendly nature and manner with our children and all of us one board was second to none. Giovanni really made our whole experience and we have already recommended him highly to our family and friends and anyone travelling to Sorrento! It is a must do and you will simply love this boating experience!
Our day on the boat with Giovanni was one of my favorites on our Mediterranean vacation. The boat was clean, Giovanni was charming, the views were beautiful! Even though it was too cold for a swim, we loved seeing the Amalfi coast, he dropped us off in Positano for some shopping and then enjoyed my favorite meal in Italy at a restaurant Giovanni suggested. It was an incredible day and I’d recommend it to everyone!
We found Giovanni online. Danielle warmly greeted us at the dock in Sorrento and got us all set to go on the boat with her dad, Giovanni. They were both fun, sweet people. The boat was amazing - beautiful and clean. Giovanni took us around Capri and showed us the most picturesque spots. We then went to Positano where he dropped us off for a few hours to shop. Lastly, he recommended we have lunch in a location that is accessible by boat only. The lunch was amazing - some of the best food I've ever had in an unparalleled location. We invited Giovanni to eat with our large group of 12. We arrived in Sorrento on time to catch out boat late that afternoon. Giovanni's service was impeccable. We had no expectations for our day, but Giovanni made sure to highlight the most beautiful parts of his home. Wonderful!
